“…yeah, um, I think it’s over here.”
*crashing sounds*
“…I found the Under The Bridge blog, dude. It was over here under this stack of nazi references and crude jokes”
Yeah, so neither of us have posted anything here in a while. Well, when I say any of us I mean me (Barlow).
Anyway, I’m finally taking it upon my self to update the Under The Bridge blog with some new stuff. I think it’s probably for the best really. Can’t have this blog sitting here unattended, that’d be dumb.
So, since I last posted here, we’ve updated the format. The show is soley based around a few components What We’ve Been Listening To, A Main Topic and Questions/Housekeeping. Of course, there’s a lot of other inane chatter going on inbetween too.
We’re also attempting to get a guest on with us each week, either someone in music (like, friend of the show, Emma Hallows) or otherwise. Either way, we’re trying to make the show more interesting and fun to listen to.
We’ve also started playing full songs from artists we love, and we tend to keep the music relevant too. If it came out recently, we’ll play it. If not, we’re gonna have a reason to. This means, alongside the episodes, I’ll be posting the playlists for each episode on here.
That’s about it really. Just thought I’d check in. Ian says “Hi” (he probably doesn’t, but whatever).

Under The Bridge #29 Coming This Week!
We might have recorded it last week, but you’ll be getting an all new Under The Bridge this coming thursday. We drank the beer we had, picked up some more and even managed to rope in a few guests for the second recording of the day.
We dedicated the show to our best friend Helen Chambers, and had her join us on the phone to talk about her experience on Revival Tour whilst out shopping for shoes for her kids in York. Rock and fucking roll! We were also joined by, a very reluctant, Jennyleigh Gorton. She was convinced she hadn’t drank enough to join us, but she did a damn fine job!
Music comes from Helen Chambers and, as always, all views and opinions are, in fact, views and opinions.
Look for it over at Moon & Back Music on Thursday, or subscribe on iTunes and listen to our past episodes featuring the the likes of Chris Farren (Fake Problems), Giles Bidder (Great Cynics) and Ben Marwood.
The Ruckus Wrote About Our Dumb Show!
One of the coolest music blogs in the whole fucking world, The Ruckus wrote about Under The Bridge! They even dubbed it their “favourite podcast”. How awesome is that?!
Anyway, check them out here.
After a month of absence the Under The Bridge podcast is back, baby! Did you miss us? I know you did. After The Stone Roses reformed last week, we decided to talk about the ‘reunification’ of bands: The ones that did it well, the ones that didn’t and the ones we’d really like to see happen. Music this week is ‘tribal’, in some sense at least. Ian found an old CD and that’s how it began.
We probably should have played a bit of STEPS or The Stone Roses, perhaps even a bit of Take That. Instead, music this week comes from: Crazy Arm, A Tribe Called Quest, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and…The World Wide Message Society.Y’know, because that’s how we roll: 80′s cheese, awesome British punk, old school hip-hop and bad religious…something.
Episode #28 Coming Tomorrow!
We’ve let the podcast slip a little since we did that drunken show in Clare’s house the other week. We’ve intended to do shows for a few weeks now, but things like sickness and general lack of time have conspired against us.
Tomorrow we’re going to record Episode #28 from the top of The Lass O’ Gowrie pub in Manchester. A change of setting because we can steal their WiFi for stuff, mainly so we can have guests. And we have guests!
Tiffny and Melanie from The Ruckus will be joining us to talk about all the dopey shit we usually talk about, but mainly to talk about bands and artists that are movin’ on up and all the awesome (and not so awesome) things that surround that.
Music will come from The Gaslight Anthem. No one tell Ian though, because it’ll never happen otherwise.

This is episode #27 of the Under The Bridge podcast. Honestly, this is probably the worst episode we’ve done in a while. We decided to record it whilst really drunk in our friend Clare’s house. We were joined by Clare, Martin, Graeme and Giles (off of Great Cynics) to talk about…absolutely fuck all.
Sorry.
Episode 24 is live!!!
The Punk Rock Power Hour is moving towards a weekly format!!! Episode 24 includes interviews with Descendents and Dead Milkmen, as well as discussions about FEST, Rancid, and FYF Fest.
Re-blog.
We like the Matt and Mondo podcast. It’s good. They’re not as funny or awesome as us though, even if they do have Descendents. I bet they didn’t ask them about a Chuck Ragan fishing show. Amateurs ;)

FEST 10 Schedule…
The schedual for FEST is up now.
We are playing on the Sunday at 1982 at 4.50.
With the amount of awesome bands that are playing there were bound to be some horrible clashes. And there are!
It’s 38 days until we fly and I couldn’t be more excited!
Go and see Leagues Apart at Fest. We can’t, because we’re really poor. They’re proper good though, and you won’t be disappointed. We did an interview with them recently and will be featuring all our favorite, Fest-bound, British bands in one of our October shows. Look out for that!

We were joined by Lewis Bolland to talk about our experiences at Leeds Festival watching the likes of Taking Back Sunday, Frank Turner, The Menzingers, Hot Water Music, Bedouin Soundclash and Face To Face.
As per usual it goes off topic pretty quickly and we cover topics such as transexuals, namedropping, getting “some gear”, James Hull, Dimebag and what Lewis does with his time.
